Incumbent Buncombe commissioners are either incompetent or corrupt

 

I’ve announced my candidacy for the Buncombe County Board of Commissioiners.

Sale of downtown park land to a developer when they ‘didn’t know’ what they were selling, signing a 80-year lease written by Progress Energy which granted unlimited use for any purpose on pristine river frontage and secret meetings with Asheville officials on the water issue are just the most glaring examples of the board’s failures. Covering the commish as a reporter I was well aware that deals and decisions were constantly made before the public ever heard a word. Buncombe County residents deserve transparency and honesty in government.

So what am I going to do about it?

I’m running for office and I’d appreciate your support in the Democratic primary, May 6.
