Clinton lied about Bosnia, too

Former Buncombe County Sheriff Bobby Medford was slated to face trial tomorrow on federal charges of money laundering, mail fraud, extortion and abuse of public office, all connected to illegal gambling. But his attorney, Stephen Lindsay, obtained a 30-day continuance, arguing that he had had too little time to wade through a roomful of evidence and piles of depositions accumulated for the case. Nearly three dozen others swept up in a multi-state investigation have pled guilty at this point, including two of the men charged in the 19-page Medford indictment.
Things don’t look too good for Bobby. One of his co-defendants who pled and cooperated with prosecutors still got 80 years in the can. It appears all but certain to this observer that Medford will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Cecil,
Last week a woman contacted me regarding commissioning an oil portrait.
She drove up here and saw my work in person at DOWNTOWN BOOKS AND NEWS and was suitably impressed, but then she mentioned to me that she had found on-line my letter about Billy Graham’s column.
She found it on YOUR web page.
She left without commissioning a portrait.
Surely with the skills you have honed as a reporter you can go back and rewrite history and delete the word “portrait”, which appears on the same page on your site as your inclusion of my Graham letter. (Surprisingly, in context, “portrait” is used as a description of your book about Mr. Graham, rather than in reference to the craft I practice.)
Can you please delete the word “portrait” from your web page ?
And also the words:

Clinton Lie Kills Her Credibility on Trade Policy
by John Nichols
What is the proper word for the claim by Hillary Clinton and the more factually disinclined supporters of her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination — made in speeches, briefings and interviews (including one by this reporter with the candidate) — that she has always been a critic of the North American Free Trade Agreement?
Now that we know from the 11,000 pages of Clinton White House documents released this week that former First Lady was an ardent advocate for NAFTA; now that we know she held at least five meetings to strategize about how to win congressional approval of the deal; now that we know she was in the thick of the manuevering to block the efforts of labor, farm, environmental and human rights groups to get a better agreement. Now that we know all of this, how should we assess the claim that Hillary’s heart has always beaten to a fair-trade rhythm?

RALEIGH - According to the Public Policy Polling firm, a recent poll shows that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are neck and neck in the Democratic Presidential primary.
The North Carolina primary will be held on May 6th and 115 delegates will be up for grabs.
In the poll, which was announced yesterday before planned trips to NC by both Obama and President Bill Clinton, the two candidates are very close. The polling was performed by Public Policy Polling (PPP) of Raleigh, an independent polling firm which has been accurate most of the time in the past during Presidential primaries in terms of the final outcome.
The poll numbers has Barack Obama winning by 44% of the vote, with Hillary Clinton at a close 43% of the vote. The pollsters say that Clinton is actually ahead among the Democratic registered voters, but that Obama has a large lead among the unaffiliated voters, who are allowed to vote in the Democratic primary.
And in an average of several polls, Obama has moved well ahead.

To life!
And it’s interesting to note, as one cruises YouTube, how many links to the back story on the Red Phone ad are blocked. It seems that the footage of children in the fear-mongering Clinton “Red Phone” ad was stock footage purchased by Clinton’s ad agency. One of the youngsters, who will be 18 before the election, is an active Obama supporter and precinct captain in Oregon.
More telling, to me, is that the ad agency managed to purchase stock footage in which one child’s pajama pattern clearly reads “NIG.” Coincidence? Subliminal messaging has been used for decades in the ad industry. Check out the first video above to confirm that for yourself. I clipped this from the video.
And, here is Barak Obama’s reasoned response to Clinton’s fear-mongering.
