Into the chute
October has been far too busy. Simply getting older in mid-month took most of my attention. Birthdays demand careful planning, lest they catch one by surprise.
Been wrapping up the book on Bobby Medford, who ought to be turning himself in to federal prison officials some time today to begin his 15 year sentence for conspiracy to extort, mail fraud, money laundering and illegal gambling. (He was permitted to undergo previously scheduled surgery on Oct. 13, then convalesce for ten days before reporting for imprisonment.)
Pure Buncombe: The Life and Crimes of Buncombe County Sheriff Bobby Lee Medford will be released November 20, at Malaprop’s in Asheville (7 p.m., free event).
Have you voted yet? What are you waiting for?

I am waiting to vote on Election day because…I live in a highly republican precinct and there are no lines usually…the lines are all in heavily domocratic precincts…I enjoy going in to deliver my democratic votes on election day in my heavy republican precinct…I voted for a republican once…for CESS POOL SUPERVISOR…other than that…not so much!!!! CHEERS and let us hope for an accurate count as it appears both 2000 and 2004 were stolen, illigitimate, corrupt, and dern near nation ending results.
