If you are in the market for compact florescent light bulbs, the Environmental Working Group has evaluated major brands for mercury content. (All CFLs contain some mercury, which is released when a bulb breaks. So low content protects you and other living things from mercury poisoning.) Here are the winners.

MaxLite – 1.2-2.5 mg- 10,000 hours
